A space for couples, families, individual and those training to be therapists
A space to explore issues and resolve problems
I have been working with families and couples for over 25 years and I have a long history within the NHS. This includes working across both child and adult mental health (including CAMHS and Community Mental Health Teams).
Starting therapy can be a daunting approach and I hope to offer you a warm, supportive and confidential space to explore your issues or goals.
I have seen parents who are worried about their children at school or at home; as well as children and young people on their own when it comes to thinking about their worries. This can include issues around self harm or suicidality. Sometimes families are wondering about neurodiversity and how their family manages this.
Any stage of life can have its challenges. And, more recently I have been working with people who are over 65 and how families reconnect and work through issues at this time of their lives.
Couples come to me when they are at crisis or want to resolve issues; perhaps they are thinking of separating, or want to explore issues causing distress.
I use a trauma informed approach and think its important to acknowledge the journeys we have all been through. Its not 'whats wrong with you? but what has happened to you' that's important.
Supervision can be offered to those undertaking systemic training, (or who want a systemic thinking) or to those who want to explore a trauma informed approach in their setting, such as a school for example.
